Read For Good

I'm doing a tandem paraglide!

My Story

EDIT #2: Due to Coronavirus and the cancellation of the Stroud Half Marathon, I will instead be doing a tandem paraglide from the top of Selsley Common in Stroud (or Haresfield Beacon if the wind isn't right!) at some point in the next month or two!

EDIT: Due to various unforeseen circumstances, we will now be running the Stroud Half Marathon on Sunday 25 October instead - bonus is more time to get slightly better prepared, PLUS there's still time to donate to Read for Good and help me smash my fundraising target!

Having been roped into running the Warwick Half Marathon after a few festive drinks, I thought I'd make my shuffle round the 13.1 mile course more worthwhile by fundraising for the fabulous charity Read for Good.

A huge fan of reading myself, I love that the charity works so tirelessly to promote reading for pleasure and strives to get books to kids in hospitals and schools across the country to motivate them to read.

Their hospital programme, providing books and storytellers for children in hospitals across the UK, is just amazing and makes such a difference to both the children and their families during an often very difficult time.

Reading for pleasure brings so many benefits to all, not just in relation to learning and academic success, but to general well-being and emotional health.

Any donations are much appreciated to help spur me on in training and round the course, as well as helping Read for Good continue their fabulous work.

Thank you.
